Abby’s favorite part of being a Customer Service Representative is building relationships with our customers. She has a diverse taste in music with Incubus, Bon Iver, and Megan Thee Stallion being among the favorites. She also has an adventurous side with a desire to swim with the sharks one day.  

Chris likes being outside and constantly moving around. After operating his own self-sustaining farm for several years, Chris came to Emerald to continue working in the great outdoors. He is an avid hunter and loves trying the different game he hunts. One day he plans to visit Elephanthead Mountain in Montana
to enjoy the sights.

Chris enjoys making grass look healthy all season long! He is a big football fan, having played on the offensive line for Hoffman Estates HS and he loves the Chicago Bears. Chris is also a huge fan of hard rock and metal, especially Metallica.

Cody loves the ability to enjoy the outdoors while at work. Between his favorite vacation – a trip to Key West for deep sea fishing – and being an athlete, most of his time is spent outdoors. One day he hopes to take a trip to Europe and also buy a house for his mother.

Dan spends as much time outside as possible. One of his favorite destinations is Pensacola, Florida, to visit friends and do some offshore fishing. He also hopes to visit the Great Barrier Reef before all the coral is bleached. Back at home, Dan enjoys a diverse set of movies and music from “Mean Girls” to “The Blues Brothers” to The Jimi Hendrix Experience.

Eric appreciates the challenge of accurately measuring customer properties. When not at work, he is either playing music or baking. He’s also one of the “Lord of the Rings” fans in our office, quoting Gandalf: “… All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.”

Humberto likes that every day on the job is different and brings a challenge to adapt to changes. Outside of work he enjoys making memories with his family, and he hopes to one day go see the Mayan pyramids in Mexico.

Jessica says her fellow coworkers make the job fun. She enjoys spending time with her family and her dog, and working out. Her favorite movie quote is from “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off”: “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”

John relishes the peace and quiet that the outdoors has to offer. He likes going up to the Wisconsin Dells and would like to someday buy a big piece of land in the middle of nowhere. John is also a “Star Wars” fan. One of his prized possessions is his Michael Jordan card collection.

Josh has a B.S. in Plant Soil Science and over 20 years in the green industry, with extensive experience as a golf course superintendent. He enjoys the problem solving nature of his job and seeing tangible results. One item on his bucket list is to go over 200mph in a car. (Not in one of our trucks!) His favorite movies are Tombstone and Caddyshack.

Kaitie enjoys being active outside all day long and would someday like to try parasailing. She loves singing, and “Fallin” by Alicia Keys is one of her favorite songs. She recently visited Durango, Mexico, and loved the culture, the food, and the gorgeous views.

It makes Kristi’s day to hear the gratitude in a customer’s voice when we’ve turned their lawn from struggling to beautiful. She’s the first to turn on music in the office, and her favorite album is “Siamese Dream” by Smashing Pumpkins

Mr. Quackers spends his days mowing and fertilizing the shop lawn. His favorite band is Lynyrd Skynyrd. He enjoys a romantic lettuce dinner and a quick soak in the tub with his girlfriend, Firequacker.

Martin enjoys having a job that lets him do a lot of driving each day. Outside of work, you might find him
listening to his favorite band, The Rolling Stones. Martin says the weirdest thing he has ever eaten is
tripe (cow intestine), but his meal of choice would be a turkey club. He enjoyed a trip to Atlanta and
hopes to travel more in the future.

Matt’s favorite vacation was a childhood trip to the Wisconsin Dells at a hotel with a huge game room, and he still enjoys gaming. If he had to eat the same meal every day for the rest of his life, you’d find him at Wendy’s for a “Baconator” and fries. Matt wanted to be a millionaire when he was growing up, and if he ever does win the lottery the first thing he would buy is a RAM TRX truck.

Michael enjoys the customer interactions during his daily routes. In his spare time, you may find him watching “Family Guy” or listening to Avenged Sevenfold or Slipknot. The weirdest thing Michael has ever eaten is chicken feet, but if he had to pick just one meal to eat every day his tastes are a little more gourmet – he would choose lobster.

Mike is a Certified Lawn Care Manager who likes that every day at work is different. Growing up he wanted to be a fireman, but luckily for us he gave lawn care a try. Mike is a big horse racing fan and would love to visit all of the racetracks in the U.S. His favorite movie is even related to horse racing: “Let It Ride”.

Nathan enjoys being outside anytime he can. No wonder he is drawn to a career in lawn care! When he’s not out making your lawn beautiful he is also an avid musician, playing drums in a band with friends, and would love nothing more than to play a show at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheater in Tinley Park.

Tracey loves the challenge of creating our daily routes and also solving any problems with customer accounts. She practices yoga several times a week. Having lived in the flat land of Illinois most of her life, Tracey wants to travel to the Grand Tetons or Banff for some mountain views!
